Yes, as you and others pointed out, the idea of meat pies just
simply didn't occur to me. I'm still interested in hearing of
other possibilities though.

I've noticed that meat pies have reappeared in the grocery in the
past few years. "Hip Pockets" etc. All the ones I tried ended up
soggy and rather inferior. I'm interested in seeing whether some
of the period/homemade recipes work out better than the commercial
ones after freezing and reheating.

Do some pies work better as large open pies and some better as
the small enclosed ones? Or can any meat pie be made either way
equally well?

Is there a differance between pasty, pastry, meat pie?
