Diffuser for gas stove is a flat metal circle that fits over the burner it is
full of small holes all over its surface in a regular pattern so the heat is
more evenly placed. Never use the burner at full force as the flames tend to
go around the sides of the diffuser and up the side of the pot hope this
helps.
