Kiriel described what sounds like a wonderful event and feast:
> We wanted the servers to match, so we made garb for them to wear while
> serving; these garments went into the Barony's hospit after the event,
> and some were pulled apart to make other Baronial stuff. The prince and
> princess had personal servants supplied for the evening and we provided
> tabards for them. We had long banners out of the same fabric, which
> decorated the inside of the hall, hanging from the high arched ceilings
> and walls. The tables had runners of red with white griffins printed
> upon them, and each place was set with a white napkin with a red griffin
> in one corner (except for the P&P whose napkins were embroidered). The
> hall was one edge of a two storied courtyard, with walkways underneath,
> and we had banners hanging down from the second story that almost
> touched the ground! We played croquet and petanque in the courtyard
> when court or tournament were not on, and games of chess and backgammon
> and carte were set up in the walkways.

Kiriel, if you would write me an article or a longer message about this
event describing this event in more detail, I would love to put it in my
Florilegium as an event/feast example.
What is "petanque"?
