I asked you not to go there. . . .

and you went there. As a matter of fact, I currently have a 13 pounder and a 5
pounder, and used to have a 22 pounder. We used to tease about Katie, the 22lb
cat and how not only could we have alot of stew, but how there's enough fur for
a new pair of mittens. After being cooped in an apt for a year and half, I am
happy to say she is slaying field mice in the barns again. So, how much actual
meat on an animal that size? Or does it depend on the animal? I would also say
depends on what you want to do with it- stew, chops, what? Being vegetarian,
when I cook feasts and handle meat, I just kind of look at the meat and say
"that's about 6 servings". For those that hunt, do you do the same? I vaguely
remember dad doing that with the venison, but usually after it was already half
trimmed and wrapped. I am asking in case I do a feast which includes animals of
the same size as a large cat, say large rabbits, maybe even some fowl? I did ok
with the venison estimates at my last feast. Just curious.
