Animal husbandry short lesson
- --------------------------------------------

Cows gave milk in the MA the same as they do now. Modern cows do not give milk
year round either. Through twice daily milking their season is and was
lengthened but there comes a time when each cow is dry necessating breeding.
Dairy farmers continuously have cows that are producing milk, others are
freshening. It's a fact of life.
