SC - RE: Alcohol purchases and Ansteorra

I believe that when this was last discussed on the list that we
(Ansteorran cooks) were thinking of possibly petitioning the Crown to
have that ruling lessened in severity.  Did this ever go anywhere?  Is
there anyone who is interested in trying?  If so, how would one start
such a thing?  

Mercedes (Who has shelled out money from her own pocket to buy alcohol
for feast preparations.)
