I have ancestors who were Protestants, fleeing Catholic oppression, that
settled Pennsylvania.  I also have ancestors that were Catholics, fleeing
Protestant oppression, that settled Maryland.  Yep, they married each
other.

It was Lord Cecil Calvert who got the grant for Maryland (named for Queen
Mary) and brought fellow Catholics in The Ark and The Dove.  With their
period recipes, of course.
