SC - Ideas for Girl Scout Demo feast?

If possible, get them involved. Set out something that needs to be
assembled, like salad, something to arrange, like assorted cheeses, etc.,
only more interesting. You have to have some cryspes, for kids! And
check out some of our earlier thread on 'fast food' type snacks. They'll
get a kick out of the comparisons. Have someone who's good at talking to
young people work with them and explain medieval cooking. Let them baste
the spitted beast, and stir up the sauces, etc. Girl Scouts like
learning things and having hands-on experiences.

Not a food thing, but one of the favorite things we've done in a demo is
to collect as many different head dresses as possible, and let the girls
try them on in front of a mirror. Everything from veils to hennins to
French hoods--they love that part.
