Subject: [Mid] New issues of Scum

The Newsletter of the Brewer's Guild of Æthelmearc will be back in
publication starting in Janurary, 1999. Issues will be released quarterly.
Subscription rate will be $5.00 for a year or $1.50 per issue. If you are
interested in subscribing, mail a check or money order (payable to J. C.
Ronsen - Scum of Æthelmearc) to Scum, 72 Edgebrook #1, Cheektowaga, NY
14227, please include your mailing address and a phone number that you can
be reached at in case of problems.

Submissions can be mailed to the same address or e-mailed to
caleb at buffnet.net. Details about the newsletter can be found soon at
http://www.buffnet.net/~caleb/scum.htm.

I am looking for articles, artwork, reviews, brewing competition reports,
as well as recipes for not only drinkables, but food as well. If you have
any cartoons, cover artwork, and most importantly, small border artwork to
separate one article from another, I would be happy to publish them.


Contest:

To kick off the new year, and to encourage submissions, I am running a
cover contest. The best cover for the
phoenix issue will earn the artist a free year's subscription of Scum paid
for by yours truly. You do not have to
include a title with your artwork , I can add that in myself. If you do
wish to draw in a title, please do so. Do not include a date as it might
not be used for that quarter.
