Harvest Melee
Oct 16-18, 1998
Fort Indiantown Gap, PA
Come one and all to the Shire of Silver Rylle's Harvest Melee! A call goes
out to all fighters, fencers, and archers to come fight, fence, shoot, feast,
and make merry one more time before winter sets in!
For the heavy weapons fighters there will be melees both Saturday all day
and Sunday morning for all who are interested. There will also be heavy
weapons and fencing tourneys, type to be determined by marshals and
participants. And some of the finest archery ranges to be found. There will
also be a thrown weapons range for those who wish to try their hand or test
their skills.
For the noncombatant, we will have some great classes, games, and bardic
activities to entertain those of all ages as well as an event long game for
the simple fun of it! Anyone interested in teaching a class, please contact
Alfred Grai (Scott Mann) at samann at cs.millersv.edu. For the children, there
will be lots of activities for them to enjoy and maybe a pseudo-melee of their
own, depending on the number that come!
A Fall Harvest Feast will be held on Saturday evening prepared by the
illustrious Lord Ras al Zib, Master of the Kitchen. We will also be serving
breakfast Saturday and Sunday as well as lunch on Saturday. The ingredients
will be available for those who have special dietary needs or the simply
curious, contact the Mistress of the Kitchen, Lady Seraphina of the Clan
