I don't see why not. Although this wouldn't have allegedly happened in
period, it gives a Kitchen Steward an opportunity to more broaden their
skills at cooking large amounts of different foods (which is a good thing).
About a year ago I did a feast (don't like doing feasts) that represented
two different cultures. We had a Middle East, Crusades thingy going on and
so I did one course Middle Eastern and one European (mainly French). It was
quite a swing from one course to the other but was appreciated by most. And
I had some really non-modern palate things going on, on the menu. :)
