SC - Recipe Help!

I realize that, but it was the only recipe I could find online with ground
almonds as the main ingredient.
The cake is a golden yellow, heavy crumbed cake, very moist with a very sweet
almondy/lemon taste. they serve it at simple fare pretty much every year and i
had a craving for it last weekend. all i remember is that it had as the
ingredients egg, almond, sugar and butter and [mumble mumble as everybody around
me started talking] other stuff. it is very dense and rich.

For what it is worth, neither the baking powder nor the vanilla would be in
