The odds are that anyone who has eaten one of my feasts in the SCA has at one
time or another eaten all of the above items you mention, along with wild
rabbit, squirrel and assorted small birds.  Bear and deer hunting is popular
here, as was rattlesnake hunting until it was banned several years ago (Before
you ask-it was dead and someone had to eat it.  I don't remember if I put it
in the bear stew or the venison pastry. 150 feasters didn't seem to care.;-)).
I have also served braised venison tongue with a currant sauce. Beef tongue is
widely available in every supermarket in town. 

Weird? I don't think so. :-)
