If you look at the copyright information, The Medieval Cookbook is published
by arrangement with the British Museum Press.  As a guess, somebody erred on
the conversions, since 2 Imperial pints = 40 oz = 5 US cups = 1200 ml = 1.2
liters.

Glad you spotted it.  It means I'll have to check the measures, before using
any of the recipes.

For frumenty, the mix is 3 or 4 measures of liquid to 1 measure of grain
cooked to the desired level of absorption.
