I get it in a market catering primarily to Chinese shoppers (Kam Kuo on Mott
Street, I forgot to mention). I could also be wrong about the price; it's been
a while since I bought it and the price sticker seems to have taken a little
walk, but it makes a fairly large quantity, too. What I've got is a resealable
can containing a pound of the stuff, which makes eight quarts. Po Ma brand.

BTW, this product does contain cow's milk, if that's an issue. This is one of
those things pushed in both regular advertising and Chinese government
literature (basically propaganda, stylistically) to encourage people to give
their children milk, with some idea of competition with the West. Unlike many
such campaigns, this one seems to have worked pretty well.  My wife still
becomes slightly nauseous when confronted with Ovaltine...
