Italian Lavender (L. stoechas)<<

This is extremely useful; thank you, Mistress Esla. And well come to the
list! I'm having a wonderful time learning about this plant. Now, some
of the ones I was given have name tags such as 'Blue Lady' and others I
am having trouble reading. A bit of Blue Lady went into the
herb/mushroom omelette tonight, and we are quite happy together, she and
I. These are obviously different cultivars, but does anyone know whether
USA growers are cultivating for color, flower size, perfume, drying
qualities, etc? There are many facets of this plant and I'm wondering
how they are trying to change it, and what that means to me in
growing/eating/etc. with my new friends. Did some web searching in the
plant encyclopedia, but it doesn't address these questions. It's just a
bit of basic info--a sort of ready reference.

Regards,

Allison
