Actually, Whole Foods Market owns Bread and Circus, and I think Fresh 
Fields as well. They bought the local goodie grocery here, Wellspring 
Grocery, a few years back.  I understand they have bought up a lot of 
local and regional alternative groceries--though they only change 
names and logos slowly, if at all and people don't realize.
