Mead Lover's Digest - email mead-request at talisman.com for subscribe/admin
requests. When subscribing, please
include your name and email address in body of message. Digest archives and
FAQ are available for anonymous ftp at
ftp.stanford.edu in pub/clubs/homebrew/mead

and

Cider Digest - email cider-request at talisman.com for
subscribe/unsubscribe/admin requests. When subscribing, please
include your name and email address in the message body . Archives of the
Digest are available for anonymous FTP at
ftp.stanford.edu in pub/clubs/homebrew/cider.  This seems mostly populated
by apple growers, rather than hobbyists.
