Actually there is a word 'feastocrat'. It has been printed and used for many
years. Granted it is not in Webster's but .......who really cares whether
Webster thinks it's a word or not? :-) It is not a period term for a Kitchen
Steward but then again neither does Head Cook fully describe a Kitchen
Steward's functions completely and is just as inaccurate as 'feastocrat' is
contrived. The reality is that there is no period term that accurately
describes the functions of the person in charge of SCA feasts.
The point I'm making here is that each area has their own preference as to
what the Kitchen Steward should be called and none is really any better or
worse than any other except in the mind of those who use a particular term.
