I'm not certain what you are looking for.  This is totally oop, but my 
grandmother (Scots and Irish descent) firmly believed that if one had fish or 
seafood and milk or milk products in the same meal, one would develop a 
fever.  Cooked onions were supposed to be a treatment for fever.  Poke 
Sallet, if picked at the wrong time of year was highly poisonous.
