I've been toying with the idea of making a 'cozy' for mine, which wouldn't
be too hard, just requiring measurments and 5th-grade geometry. I have
also been toying with the idea of making the 'cozy' out of light wood or
heavy cardboard, and painting it up to look like a triptych or something
similar. There might be a concern about flammability, so you would have to
make sure it was completely cool before covering it. Alternatively, I
heard that someone painted theirs on the outside with some heavy enamel
(such as suitable for stoves, etc., so it wouldn't give off toxic fumes if
it got hot) to look like an ivory panel, with a tournament scene and
everything. That might make it a little less awful to look at.
