Logwood is the common name.  Harvesting it for export was one of the things
the buccaneers did before they went into the piracy business.  

If Francesco Sirene doesn't know where to get the pods, I certainly don't.
But were I looking, I'd try a Hispanic market.  The names suggest the
original source was Campeche province on the Yucatan Peninsula.
