Ok, I've only seen bits and pieces of this as I've been skipping through
the digests (some of you can sure talk a lot :-) ) but here is my
contribution.

Caitlin, I hope you are still around. For some additional chicken
recipes, from strictly period to much less so (and some of these latter
were posted here), check this file in the FOOD section of my Florilegium:

And when you feel you might want to try some birds other than chickens
you might want to try some of these:
birds-recipes-msg (20K)  3/ 2/99    Bird recipes. Squabs, pheasants, quail.

If you are wondering where you would get such birds for cooking, there is
a file food-sources-msg that might help out. Also some information on
the raising of birds in period and now in some of the files in the
ANIMALS section.
