Welcome to the Cooks list.  We are certainly glad to have you here. 
No, I for one would not be offneded if you were to post some of your
business information.  There are several merchants among our number,
and the truth be told, I would rather share the wealth with some of my
SCA friends than to scatter it before the feet of Corporate
congomerations. There have been a few times when I was wanting to find
out what and where our merchants were and did and had, and it was a
little difficult to find.  If I know that your informaiton will be at
the bottom of your messages, so much the easier.

And as to whether or not you should post your little tidbits, the
answer is a resounding YES!!  How else am I going to learn all the
things that I don't seem to have the time to find the books for?  Do
you have anything about spice use in early Ireland (950-1050)?

Welcome aboard!  And we have a Rock here for anyone who feels that they
have (or may soon) embarassed themselves.  It is a good place to hide,
and comes equiped with a kitchen, a hot tub, and all sorts of edibles
to entertain us as we relax and visit with each other.
