Greetings Lady Winnifred of Shattered Crystal,

I forwarded your question to some friends who are not on this list. they
had these suggestions (along with my own zwei pfennige.)

I can see two ways of approaching your feast theme:

One would be to look at the underworld aspects often associated with the
holiday, :
root vegetables - from underground
roast pork - the pigs of Pryderi, a gift from the otherworld,
berry tarts - apparently a custom in parts of Britain that all blackberries
must be picked by Oct. 31 - after that they "belong to Jack"
anything "touched by the frost" or decay (blue cheese, aged meats, wine,
ale)
Fungus - marinated mushrooms

decorate tables with turnip (or gourd) lanterns? (precursors of pumpkin
lanterns)

The above suggestion came from one roomie, the other roomie wrote

"If the poster is not overly concerned with documenting every recipe,
here's my suggestions for things that are not as they seem:

Bubble and Squeak
Toad in the Hole
Hedgehogs
Dragon's Tail
Trifle
Fool"

Hope we have given you some ideas. I am sure others on the list can tell
you more about origin and periodity of the suggestions, but have fun
playing with them.

Gwen-Cat
 Caerthe (mundanely still shell-shocked)
