IF you can keep the camera and the book very still, long exposures with a high
f-stop will give you the sharpest images.   F/16 or higher.    The exposures
could be as long as 30 secs to a minute.  Also lower film speed gives you higher
res.  A long cord to trigger the camera is best too.  Called a cable release.
