SC - Medieval Portuguese cookbooks?

I'm really sorry to bother you all with questions you've heard a hundred
times before, but I'm trying to research some material on
medieval vegetables.

First, are there archives to this list, so I can avoid being a nuisance in
the future. Second, can people suggest period sources for different colors
of carrots? I understand that Le Menagier is supposed to refer to them as
"red roots", and I know that there is some thought that they used to be
white, and more like the root of Queen Anne's Lace. But I've been told
there were supposed to be blue carrots and so on. I know there were blue
potatos, but carrots?

Anyway, thank you for your time.

Berengaria
