Yes, I figured that out...

did you know you can message the majordomo with the single-word message
"help"     ?

It gives various sets of instructions for subbing, unsubbing, who's on
the list, what lists there are, etc.

You might try that, a message to: 

majordomo at Ansteorra.ORG

with no subject line, no sig, and the single command line: 

help

and see if that gets you anything useful.

That, and dropping Papa Gunthar a note asking to unsubscribe you for the
duration of the War...
