Mine are biscuits and gravy, black-eyed peas and cornbread (tells you
where my folks are from), bangers and mash, steak-and-mushroom pie (a
family variant on steak and kidney pie--tells you where we've been),
nigiri zushi and tamales (tells you who I hang with). The only one I
_know_ is period would be the tamales. The others I never bothered to
check...
