While the assumption that Ibn Battuta went everywhere is a good first
approximation, I'm afraid he didn't make it north of al-Andalus except for
a trip through what is now Southern Russia en route to India. That section
contains, as I remember (I'm en route to Pennsic and my copy of the _Rehla_
isn't), a brief trip North, but one that is widely suspected to be fake.

For a more extensive description of the North, still much farther east than
you want, you might try Ibn Fadlan. The most accessible version is created
by taking Michael Crighton's _Eaters of the Dead_ and removing all the
parts that Crighton added. I'm not sure I spelled his name right.
