I understood picnicing and cook-outs to be the thing for Christmas down 
under.  and I heard once of fig-pudding ice cream which I hoped was vanilla 
or brandy flavored ice cream with chunks o'fig pudding (Ben & Jerry style) 
rather than an entirely fig pudding flavored ice cream.  That sounds gross.
