SC - Need help redacting candy recipe

I also recall Le Menagier's recipe suggesting grinding the mustard in a
grinser rather than a mortar.  Translation could have effected the word
choice, else it does seem to suggest that spice grinders did exist to
grind spice.  I picture something similar to the hand cranked coffee
mills.
