Alert! Alert! Recently I received an e-mail purporting to be a series of
ridiculous quotes from Al Gore, presumably out of a harmless sense of
competition and in retaliation for the plethora of Quayle jokes (but
it's so _hard_ not to see the humor in them!). Unfortunately, in reality
these were the same quotes lifted from the Quayle Quarterly, with the
name changed to Al Gore, and the attributions and dates changed by
several years to reflect a different administration.

Remarkably unsporting, even by right wing standards.
