Yeah, but was it still edible? (said in very incredulous tone) Or was 
it just good for a door stop or paper weight?

I've heard of Thousand Year Old eggs (actually "only" some number of 
months old) and fermented fruit bat, but, this, uh, takes the 
cake!!??!!
