SC - caramelized pecans

Greetings,
I don't know if it's period or not, but does anyone know how to make
caramelized pecans? I think you just melt sugar until it's almost
caramelized, add the pecans, finish cooking and then let cool. Does anyone
know if this is right? If it's not period then I'm sorry for posting.
