	Our next door neighbor has a large fig bush that was started by the
little old lady that was one of the original residents of this
neighborhood.  My lord has discovered them, and went figging throughout
the late summer.  He put most of the figs into a jug with Napoleonic
Brandy (not the best, but he said about 7 or 8th  from the bottom).  We
strained it on Christmas day, and have the figs in a container, waiting
on inspiration.  They aren't very sweet, so I am considering what to do
with them.  The brandy, however, is quite delightfully figgy, and I used
a couple of tablespoons to moisten my stuffing.
