SC - Christmas Dinner and Gifts

There were many wonderful gifts under the tree for me this year, and quite
a few were kitchen-related.  I got a stoneware baking pan and a pizza
stone (anyone have any tips for using them?), a Yankee bean pot, a lovely
Bennington pottery spoon-rest, and a Celtic folklore cookbook.  And most
exciting of all, I got that 2-volume medieval Spanish dictionary that was
on my "only in my dreams" list.  Yippee!  [insert dance of joy here] Ahem.
Excuse me.  There just aren't too many places where I can expect folks to
really appreciate that one of my most thrilling holiday gifts was a
dictionary.
