Similar data point: I was at Borders with my mom (advising on Christmas 
gifts for the husband unit) in, hmm, October I think, and _Food and 
Drink in Medieval Poland_ was reasonably prominently displayed.
Not exactly given the bells-and-lights of the latest Tom Clancy, but
it wasn't just mixed in with all the other zillion books either.
