Lilinah,
Not only do you not want to cook with the poisonous
sumacs, you don't want to even breathe their cooking
or burning vapors, which are just a bad as touching
their resins. Many a fireman has had badly blistered
lungs
when a fire burns through an area covered with poison
oak, ivy or sumac.
