SC - Cranberry Sauces?

My recipe goes:
1 bag cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 lemon's worth of lemon zest
juice of that same lemon
2 cinnamon sticks (4-5")

Throw in a saucepan, cook at low boil for about 20 minutes, or until it
becomes quite a syruppy mess. The 5 year old loved watching the
cranberries "pop" and did a wonderful job of keeping it stirred which
needs to be done frequently. Pull the cinnamon sticks out, pour into
fancy bowl, put cinnamon sticks decoratively back on top for decoration.

This produces a lovely spiced cranberry sauce. My brewer friend and I
were discussing its possibilities as a flavor base for cordials...
