The package insert with Swedish Bitters instructs it to be used a similar way
as you describe using Jagermeister. Adults & children over 15 years of age, 1
teaspoon 3 or 4 times a day to ease bloating and discomfort from overeating.

In this case, Swedish Bitters is the brand name of an herbal tonic made in
Germany for the NatureWorks company of Agoura CA. Ingredients: Aloe 32.5 mg,
alcohol (38 percent by volume) and water extracts of myrrh, saffron, senna,
camphor, rhubarb root, zedoary root, manna, theriac venetian, carline thistle
root, angelica root.

(just about everything you can think of to stimulate various portion of your
digestive tract!)
