SC - spice question

I bought a number of spices in bags from the Pepperer's Guild at 
the last Pennsic. Since I've bought some glass bottles this last
weekend, I'm finally transferring them to those.

One of the spices I bought was cardamom. On the list of spices
from the Guild it gives two types of cardamom, "Decorticated"
and "Pods-Green". Unfortunately, the label on the bag just
says "Cardamom". The stuff I have looks like little reddish-
brown peppercorns. Is this the "Decorticated" stuff?

What does "Decorticated" mean?

I also have another bag that seems to have lost it's label.
Little chunks of something. Sigh. Maybe if I can find my
receipt I can figure out what I'm missing.
