And eat late in the year.  Isn't there a Gaelic poem which runs 
'honey underground is the wild carrot between St. Andrew's day and 
Christmas'?

Another question for the more experienced herbalists.  Doesn't 
hemlock look rather similar to Queen Anne's Lace?  It might be worth 
being careful which one you dig up if this is so.  On the other hand, 
I could just be imagining things again.
