Not to be ignorant here, m'lady, but I would suggest that you reread Food in
History, The History of Food , all pertanent period recipes dealing with the
use of peas in the MA, the history of pea cultivation and it's husbudry,
Gerard, and any of a number of other pertinant writings...then forget what
'we' might like the truth to be...then make an opinion..

My apologies, lovely lady, if this seems harsh BUT the facts are the facts and
there is no amount of wishful thinking that will change them.  Unless actual
documentable evidence is presented then muy original statement that fresh
shelled green peas were TOTALLY unknown to nobility during the KMA stands.
