SC - Cracknels?

Does anyone have a recipe for Cracknels?  They are mentioned in the Spurling
book about the Fettiplace receipt book.  A cracker or pretzel like munchie
served with posset drinks in Lent.  Flavored with seeds, the dough or batter
is dropped into water by the spoonful, then lifted out and baked.
