There have been numerous bread recipes posted here, many by Bear our baker
extrodinaire. Most of these are now in one of these two files in the FOOD
section of my Florilegium files. While these won't likely be the ones your
mother would make, as I try to stick to period-like recipes for this file,
they should give you a start. If you are referring to medieval mothers, I
believe many (most?) period breads were made in bakeries, including the
manor house bakeries rather than in homes.
