SC - Middle Eastern garb, fudge and ciambelles

Well, whoever told you that Middle Eastern garb is being banned is being a
hysterical twit - did you hear that from the Rialto?  I've found that's
where many of the Chicken Little-type stories arise.  The letter does NOT
repeat NOT!! ban Middle Eastern garb from Pennsic.  It DOES ban those
horrible cabaret-style under-fabricked horrors that too many women wear.
The ones with sheer nylon skirts and skimpy tops with lots of belly and arm
and other skin showing.

If you wear proper, PERIOD Middle Eastern - and many of the better dancers
do - you're OK.  (I think this does include men wearing only pants without a
shirt, or more than a vest, so guys if you want...... y;)  )

The line about decency was interesting - does this mean all the women whose
tops are falling down can be scolded and told to tighten their chemise
straps and/or put on a proper bodice?  That some of those really
in-your-face codpieces get banned?  If someone is going around with far too
much skin showing given the amount of fabric on the body, can we tell them
to add square fabric footage (or yardage)?

(For those of you who don't know me, I'm not a prude, but I do wear garb
that covers EVERYthing, and have documented a high neckline on cotehardies.
If nothing else, it cuts my sunblock expense.)

To those who requested the receipt for cranberry fudge:  I'll try to
remember to email it to you tomorrow.  I think I got it online, so if
there's a site I'll just send it and post that to the list instead of the
recipe.

Adamantius, I've made jumbles, and the ciambelle (still unsure of sp) are
different.  Bear, you may be closer to truth.  However, the receipt at the
website you offered is VERY different, as it is like a jelly donut.  The
receipt I have is simply flour, water, yeast, and anise seeds.  Make dough,
knead, let rise, make rings, boil, dry, bake, snarf.
