SC - old world/new world foods

Hey cooks,
I am in the planning stages of an age of exploration event, I was
wondering if anyone had any documentable New world foods that were
influenced by English, French, Dutch,Spainish, Or Portuguese Cuisine
Circa 1492-1650. Also what kinds of Old world foods were really Chic in
this time period. The stuff the Heads of state would serve at Black tie
type banquets. The Feast will be a combination of New and Old world
foods.
For the Inn I thought the New World foods would be good as the event will
be encounters in The New World in the early stages, and then home again
for Court and a dinner of items brought back from the New World. What are
the web sites for  the Miscellany and the Florigliuem(sp)? As I know
those are two sources to check.
