I was out of town until last week so missed the first part of this thread, but
can tell you, AFAIK, prior to the 18th c. there were no Scottish reprints of
English cookbooks, nor published Scottish cookbooks. John Reid's _Scots
Gard'ner_, 1683, is an early book containing some advice on food use, but
otherwise there is nothing until Mrs. McLintock's cookbook in 1736.

No idea. A number of Sara Paston-Williams cookbooks have been published by the
English National Trust, she has never been associated with the Scottish
National Trust.
