Except for (May?  Markham?) I haven't seen vegetables used as 
sotelties.  Boiled carrots are cut into fanciful shapes and bent into 
knots, etc. for his salads.  They are also cut into flower shapes.  If 
this is the type of thing you are looking for I can check the specific 
"recipe" for you.
